He’s served as executive chairman of Cypress Semiconductor, chairman of Flextronics International, and lead independent director on the board of Oracle Corporation, as well as on boards at Cadence Design Systems, KLA-Tencor, Freescale Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics, TriNet Group, and Elementum. Earlier in his career he was CFO, president CEO, and then executive chairman at Cadence Design Systems.
Ray has served on the Business Roundtable and as chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium, co-founder and board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, trustee of the U.S. Olympic Committee, board member of public TV and radio station KQED, co-founder of the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, and trustee for the National Parks Conservation Association. He was named an Outstanding Director by the Financial Times in 2009, and received the 2005 Pioneers and Purpose Award from the Silicon Valley Education Foundation and the 2002 Corporate Innovation Recognition Award from the IEEE.
Ray holds an MBA from Harvard and a BS in economics and an honorary doctorate of humanities from Weber State University. Outside work, when he’s not building community through his nonprofit efforts, he enjoys spending time with his five grown children and 18 grandchildren, all of whom live near his Silicon Valley home.

Ben combines deep knowledge of private equity and venture capital with hands-on experience in leading-edge tech R&D, giving him unique insight into global technology and financial markets.
Before Canyon Bridge, he served as managing director at China Reform Fund Management, partner at Beijing Leading Capital, and managing director at SIG China. Previously, he ran semiconductor investing in North Asia for Warburg Pincus Asia and was an associate at Rustic Canyon Partners, a Los Angeles-based VC firm focused on technology, media, and telecom. Earlier in his career, he was a global product manager at Applied Materials and a research engineer at Boeing Phantom Works.
Ben holds an MS and PhD in aeronautics from Caltech, an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, and a BS in mechanical engineering from UCLA.

John is an expert in handling complex transactions.
Before Canyon Bridge, he spent 20 years at Jones Day, where he specialized in corporate law, M&A, and private equity transactions, and served as Asia chair of M&A and partner-in-charge for the Beijing office. During his career at Jones Day, he worked on more than 100 M&A deals in industries spanning technology, energy, media, automotive, food, and retail.
John was named to the 2012 “Top Lawyers” list by Legal 500. He holds a BS in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a JD from the William Mitchell College of Law.

With 20+ years of experience in global technology banking and extensive deal-making experience in China, Peter understands Chinese capital markets and knows how to make complex cross-border transactions work.
Prior to co-founding Canyon Bridge, Peter was a managing director at Lazard and before that at Cowen and Company’s Asia subsidiary, as well as a technology M&A banker at Broadview International. He began his career at Pacific Venture Group, an Asia-based VC firm focused on technology. He’s worked on transactions worth more than $100 billion, including M&A transactions for ARM, Alibaba, Google, and Texas Instruments.
A Fulbright Scholar, Peter holds a JD from Harvard and a BS in foreign service from Georgetown. In his spare time he enjoys skiing and scuba diving, and as a native of Philadelphia is a long-suffering fan of Philly-area sports franchises.
Sumeet brings to Canyon Bridge more than 16 years of experience in technology investment banking and consulting.
During his career, he has been involved in more than $45 billion in M&A and capital markets transactions in the technology industry, specializing in complex, cross-border situations. He has worked with a variety of technology clients including ARM, Intel, MKS Instruments, Dell, Sensata, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia, Microsoft, Nortel Networks, and HP.
Prior to joining Canyon Bridge, Sumeet served as a director at Lazard, a leading financial advisory and asset management firm. He began his career as an M&A banker at Morgan Stanley. Sumeet holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology.
